Amongst the qualified candidates, if any candidate does not feel satisfied with the allotted seat, they can opt for ‘Upgradation’ to get a better seat in the next round. Candidates can exercise this option at University login at icaradmission.in. Candidates should know some important details to opt for upgradation after ICAR seat allotment 2023. Candidates must follow the guidelines provided below to upgrade their seats into a better course or college after ICAR seat allotment 2023 is released:
- To opt for an upgrade, it is essential to pay the seat acceptance fee of Rs. 10,000 at the login portal.
- The status of the applicants who choose ‘Upgradation’ will be displayed on the University login.
- After opting for upgradation, if a candidate does not get their desired seat, then their previous seat will be considered final.
- If a candidate gets their desired seat, then their previous seat will be forfeited.
- Candidates won’t be able to retain their previous seat if they get a better one at any cost.
- Candidates must note that opting for upgradation will be considered as “Admitted” by the officials.
- If any candidate does not report for admission, they will not be allowed under ICAR quota seats. Furthermore, if they applied for a Scholarship/Fellowship before, their claim will not be considered.
- After upgrading, applicants should contact their respective colleges to know the date for admission, the documents that need to be carried for offline reporting, and the documents that need to be submitted during online reporting.
- As only three rounds and one mop-up will take place for ICAR 2023 counselling, no candidate can opt for upgradation after the last round, i.e., mop-up round for obvious reasons.
- The choice to upgrade will only be available for candidates who still have the scope for betterment based on their choices submitted in the option form.
