Important steps or instructions to be followed after seat allotment are enlisted below:

  • Once the seat is allotted, the candidate can retain or reject the seat in Round 1, based on his/her/their preference. Only in Round 1 can the candidates reject the seat without paying any compensation through ‘Free Exit’.
  • If the candidate wishes to reject the seat, they may not report at the allotted college and their seat allocation will automatically stand cancelled. Such candidates can participate again in Round 2 counselling by submitting fresh option form but they will have no claim to the seat currently allotted.
  • In the more likely scenario when the candidate wishes to retain their seat, they have further two options: i. Join the allotted college, or ii. Go for seat upgradation.
  • Before that, such candidates must first download the allotment letter issued by MCC through their candidate login.
  • If the candidate is completely satisfied with the allocation, they shall join the allotted college (by verifying documents and fee payment) and give upgradation willingness as ‘NO’.
  • If the candidate wishes to go for upgradation by retaining the current allocation, they shall join the allotted college (by verifying documents and fee payment) and give upgradation willingness as ‘YES’.
  • Only those candidates whose upgradation willingness is given as Yes will be able to participate in Round 2. Also, note that fresh submission of the option form is also mandatory to be considered for Round 2 allocation.
  • If the candidate does not get a better allotment in Round 2, their current Round 1 seat allocation will be retained.
  • At the time of offline or physical reporting at the college, the following documents (original + self-attested) are required for document verification:
    • Allotment Letter issued by MCC
    • NEET UG admit card
