Instructions to upload image in NEET PG application form 2023

NEET PG application form 2023 has started on 7th January at 3 PM and those who want to apply for the exam must understand the instructions regarding scanning and uploading of photographs. Scroll down below to check detailed information about the same.

NEET PG application form 2023 is available from 7th January 2023, as the link has been activatedby the National Board of Examination (NBE). Candidates who are willing to appear for the examination must fill out the application form before the deadline, 27th January. To fill the form, candidates need to visit the official website- nbe.edu.in. While filling out the NEET PG application form 2023, candidates will have to upload certain documents including their photograph. The authorities have listed important instructions which must be followed by the candidates in order to upload photograph. If the rules are violated, candidates' applications will be cancelled.

Instructions to upload image in NEET PG application form 2023

Candidates can either upload a real time photograph or pre-saved photograph. The size of the photograph must be 45mm*35mm and the height of the head should measure 70-80% of the height of photograph. 

Instructions for a real-time photograph

  • Should be taken by the webcam or in-built camera of the computer system while filling the application form online.
  • Stand or sit against a white background in bright light. 
  • Your image must not include any other person or object. 
  • Candidates should be properly dressed in formal attire.
  • Your full face, ears, neck, and shoulders must be visible in the picture. Do not smile in the picture. 
  • The picture must not contain any part of the body below the shoulder. 
  • Press the "Capture Photo" button on the application form. 

Instructions for pre-saved photograph

  • Sit or stand against a white background. 
  • Make sure that you are the only person in the photograph and remove any objects from the background. 
  • The image must contain your full face, neck, shoulders, and ears. Body parts below your shoulders must not be visible. 
  • Click the photograph under bright light and avoid using flash.
  • Do not upload a selfie. Ask someone else to click your picture. 

Photo Scan Process for Uploading Image

Once you've your picure clicked, this is what you must keep in mind while uploading image. 

Before you scan the photograph

  • Photo must not be hazy and your face must be perfectly visible. 
  • The standard size of a photograph is 35mm width x 45mm height
  • The photgraph must not be more than 3 months old.

Scanning process of photograph

  • Take a white sheet. 
  • Draw a box on a white sheet of paper using a pencil. It should be of a minimum 35x45 mm size.
  • Now affix your latest passport-size photograph to that box. 
  • Set the scanner resolution to a minimum of 200 dpi (dots per inch)
  • Set the color to "True color".
  • Press the scan button on the scanner to scan the photograph. 
  • Now crop the image such that the borders of the box are reached and save the image. 
  • The size of the photograph should be equal to or less than 80 KB. 
  • You may need to adjust the scanner settings if the image size is more than 80 kb, such as setting the resolution to 200 dpi and the quality to low.
