Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Bhubaneshwar has launched four smart trades with a curriculum based on IoT (Internet of Things). This will help the students get better exposure and opportunities.
Industrial Training Institute is located in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha. It recently introduced four smart trades with IoT (Internet of Things) based curriculum. The aim of introducing this is to help the students to get the latest career opportunities using IoT in the job sector.
What is IoT?
IoT is a system of interrelated mechanical and digital machines, computing devices, animals, objects or people that are given unique identifiers (UIDs) and the ability to transfer data over a certain network which requires no human to computer or human to human interactions.
ITI Bhubaneshwar Four Smart Trades Details
The four smart trades introduced by ITI Bhubaneshwar are -
IoT Technician Smart City
IoT Technician Smart Agriculture
IoT Technician Smart Healthcare
IoT Smart Phone Technician- cum-Application Tester
Each of the smart trade has got 24 seats. The course fee is nil that is the course is free for the reserved category candidates (Physically Challenged, SC, ST students) and girls. The minimum eligibility criteria for these trades is that the candidates need to have a minimum of class 10 qualification certificate.
About IoT Technician Smart City
IoT Technician Smart City trade will teach the students applications related to the functioning of the smart city which includes smart traffic management with the help of data analysis from many sources and also using IoT tools in managing and monitoring efficient water supply.
About IoT Technician Smart Agriculture
The IoT Technician Smart Agriculture trade will help the students to understand the new concepts of smart farming by managing farms with the help of technologies like robotics, IoT, drones and AI (Artificial Intelligence) which will help to increase the quality and quantity of products while optimizing the man labor which is required by production.
About IoT Technician Smart Healthcare
IoT Technician Smart Healthcare trade consists of chronic disease management and also preventive care by using IoT-based devices that are wearable ones which are used to monitor body parameters and also track health conditions. This trade will also help the students to know the preventive measures which are acquired through the usage of IoT devices and also share data with medical professionals.
About IoT Smart Phone Technician- cum-Application Tester
Smart Phone Technician-cum-Application Tester trade will help the students to have an analytic approach on the applicability of various App that is application software and monitoring personal data through the usage of Smartphones.
Jitamitra Satapathy, Principal of ITI Bhubaneshwar said that in order to get enrolled in any industry ready professional course one must have a minimum qualification – pass certificate of class 10. He even added that these courses will also help graduate students in having a successful career and will also groom them to be industry professionals so that they can be successful.
Schneider Electric, the leading electric manufacturing firm has given a proposal to Jitamitra Satapathy to sponsor a program where faculty members will be trained and the program will be called ‘Train the trainer program’.
