JEE Advanced 2025 Qualifying Cutoff Marks Released: IIT Kanpur has released the JEE Advanced 2025 qualifying cutoff marks today, i.e., June 2 , on the official website, jeeadv.ac.in. This year, the cutoffs have decreased across all categories compared to last year. To be eligible for the Common Rank List (CRL), candidates should get an aggregate of 20.56% or more and no less than 5.83% in every subject. For SC, ST and all PwD categories, the required aggregate cutoff is 10.28%, and within each subject, the minimum score must be 2.92% or above. The qualifying cutoff score needed in the preparatory course rank list is 5.14% aggregate and 1.46% minimum percentage per subject. Candidates are required to get 74 overall marks and 7 marks in each subject to pass for the Common Rank List, this year. The qualifying cutoff scores, this year, have seen a substantial shift from last year’s 109 aggregate marks and 10 marks per subject for the Common Rank List, representing almost a 30% decrease.
Candidates need to satisfy minimum requirements in each subject and in the overall aggregate score to be listed in the JEE Advanced 2025 rank list in their category. People who reach the required marks are designated as “Qualified” and can proceed to JoSAA counselling and try for a seat in their preferred IIT. If candidates do not meet either the subject-wise or aggregate cutoff, their names will not be included on the rank list.
