JEST Exam Date 2025 (Declared): The Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) 2025 exam date has been officially announced. Aspiring candidates can mark their calendars for Sunday, February 23, 2025 , as the exam will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on this day. The application portal for JEST 2025 is tentatively scheduled to open in January 2025, as officially declared. Candidates are advised to keep an eye on the official website- jest.org.in for the exact dates and application process.

JEST 2025 is a paper-pencil-based test (PBT) that will be conducted in 38 cities across India. The exam will have three sections - Part A, Part B, and Part C, with a total of 50 multiple-choice questions carrying 100 marks. The JEST 2025 exam is conducted for admission to PhD/Integrated PhD programs in Physics, Neuroscience, Computational Biology, and Theoretical Computer Science. Fellows working in SERB programmes and qualified in NET are eligible to get an appropriate fellowship.

The application fee for the Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) 2025 has been announced, and it varies depending on the candidate's category. Notably, female applicants belonging to the SC/ST category are exempt from paying the application fee. All other female applicants who do not belong to the SC/ST category are required to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 475/-.

Similarly, male applicants belonging to the SC/ST category, as well as those from the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and differently abled categories, are also required to pay a fee of Rs 475/-. For all other applicants, the non-refundable application fee is Rs 950/-. It is essential to note that the definitions of EWS and differently abled categories are as per the relevant laws currently in force.
