JKSSB JE Recruitment 2022 Reservation Policy: The Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board has released the official notification announcing 1,045 vacancies for Junior Engineer (Civil and Mechanical) posts under the PWD Department. Online applications will be invited from November 21 to December 20, 2022. The Board has also listed out a few rules and regulations as per the JKSSB JE recruitment 2022 reservation policy, which all candidates must go through before applying online.

Candidates can check out the JKSSB JE recruitment 2022 reservation policy listed below:

1. Reservations for different categories, wherever admissible and applicable, would be as determined and communicated by the Indenting Dept. as per the provisions of SRO 294 dated 21/10/2005 and SO 127 dated 20/4/2020.

2. Candidates willing to apply under Reserved Category must possess a valid Category certificate as on the cutoff date.

3. It is to be noted that the candidature of candidates will be provisional till the Appointing Authority verifies the authenticity of the Category certificate.

4. Candidates must note that any claim for reservations made on the basis of a fake/false/fraudulent certificate will lead to the expulsion of their candidature and strict actions as deemed appropriate. 

5. The Horizontal Reservation for Physically Challenged People and Ex-Servicemen to the extent as communicated by the Indenting Dept. shall be applicable. This refers to the reservation that would cut across the vertical reservation and selected candidates shall have to be placed in suitable categories by making the required changes. In respect of PH candidates, all reservations will be made only for posts, services, and types of disability identified for the purpose by the Authorities.

6. In terms of SO 361 dated 20/10/2021 –

• As per rules, the Horizontal Reservation shall be maintained for available vacancies and provided to the Ex-Servicemen for the Direct Recruitment posts borne on subordinate service under the Government with the pay scale up to the Level 6E (35900-113500).

• An Ex-Serviceman cannot claim Reservation benefits on joining a post after availing of the Horizontal Reservation. 

• An Ex-Serviceman will have to produce a certificate in form-XIV duly signed by the competent authority as stated in Rule 18 of Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Rules, 2005.

• If there are not sufficient numbers of Ex-Servicemen candidates to fill up the vacancies based on the General standards, then those under the Relaxed Standards will be considered for selection to make up for the gap in the Reserved Quota to the condition that the performance of candidates will not be affected due to such relaxations. 

7. The eligibility of disabled people or suitability of their disabilities for the concerned posts under the Horizontal Reservation shall be governed by the extant regulations and rules.
