Job Fair Held at Vijayawada
The District Employment Office conducted Job Fair at ITI College, Vijayawada on 21-May-2016. The job fair was open for all the graduates of engineering, sciences, commerce, arts and intermediate candidates who have passed in the years 2013-2016. The job fair commenced at 9.00 AM and continued till 4.00 PM. the job fair received a moderate response.
A total number of 142 candidates attended the interviews. A total number of 10 companies took part in the job fair. Most of the companies are local companies from Vijayawada and Guntur. Out of 142 candidates 57 candidates secure jobs in the final round of interviews. The company officials congratulated the students. The offer letters were given by District Employment Officer, V. Susmitha Priya. The candidates are offered annual packages ranging from Rs.1,00,000 to Rs.2,50,000.
District Employment Officer, V. Susmitha Priya said, “The job fair is being conducted every week and around 50 candidates are securing jobs every week. The District Employment Office is planning to invite more number of companies in the coming months. The main aim of conducting job fair is to increase the employment rate and to provide opportunities for unemployed educated youth”.
