This vigilant move has been taken to counter the possibility of cheating that has been reported in those exam centres in previous years. The first exam is to be held on March 25.
The board has built a team to monitor the CCTV footage live in these SSLC exam centres so that they can take immediate action if necessary. According to a local report, around 117 centres have been equipped with live streaming cameras out of a total of 567 centres in Karnataka. The installation of CCTVs comes as part of the department's comprehensive measures to maintain the sanctity of the examination process.

Only a limited time is left for the first day of the SSLC exams, hence the board is leaving nothing behind to conduct the Karnataka SSLC exams seamlessly. In its attempt to counter the situation of unfair means of cheating, the department has installed these cameras in sensitive exam centres. Some of the important highlights of this initiative have been mentioned below:
Enhanced Surveillance: A better monitoring of the examination centres where the incidents of cheating or other malpractice have been reported in the previous years
Data Security and Evidence: The CCTV footage will serve as crucial evidence in case of any reported irregularities or disputes during the examination process
