KCET Exam 2026 LIVE: The KCET 2026 exam will begin today, April 22, 2026, with the Kannada Language Test. The Karnataka Examinations Authority will conduct the KCET exam 2026 in multiple shifts. The exam will be held in three days and will end on April 24, 2026 . Candidates who will be appearing for this academic year’s KCET exam should refer to the last-minute preparation, must do questions and short notes on the most important topics to improve their performance level and to obtain a good rank in the exam.

The KCET exam 2026 will start with the Kannada Language Test, which is mandatory for the Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates. Candidates will get 60 marks for questions asked on each topic- Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. Among these, Physics and Chemistry are mandatory to answer, and the rest they should choose either Mathematics or Biology.

    What to expect for KCET Exam 2026?

    • If you find the first five questions of Mathematics tough, then do not panic. First, solve the easy questions. Find out the easy ones, which are usually scattered in the middle of the paper.

    OMR Instructions: The Carbon Copy (1/5)

    • The carbon sheet is a replica of the KCET OMR sheet. Hence, do not remove it. Rather, keep it as it is attached to the OMR sheet during the exam. 
    • At the end of the exam, the candidates are allowed to detach the bottom carbon sheet and take it home.

    • Candidates should sign in the designated box at the bottom of the OMR sheet.

    • Enter the version code. This is the critical entry in the OMR sheet. Make sure the version code of the OMR sheet matches the question booklet. 
    • Copy the question booklet serial number accurately mentioned on the OMR sheet.

    OMR Instructions: Golden Rule (1/1)

    • Use only black or blue inked ballpoint pens.
    • Gel pens, pencils, and ink pens are strictly not allowed for filling out the OMR sheets. A gel pen might smudge and damage the scanning process. On the other hand, pencils are not detected by the OMR scanner.

    Logistics Checklist (Do this NOW)

    • Make sure that the candidates have a clear printed copy of the KCET 2026 hall ticket. 
    • Carry an original Aadhaar card, Voter ID, and PAN Card.
    • Bring your two black or blue ballpoint pens. Do not carry a gel pen for shading the OMR sheet. 
    • Plan to route and for the same, re-check your exam centre address, so that the candidates can reach the exam centre at least 45 to 60 minutes before the security checks.
