Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala has given a detailed insight on minority quota seats in private medical and dental colleges across the state. There are a few medical and dental colleges in Kerala that have minority status and reserve a portion of seats for the students belonging to the minority communities. CEE Kerala will conduct admission process for the seats that come under minority quota in the second phase counselling. The second round counselling process for MBBS/ BDS courses will begin on August 8, 2017, and will continue until August 19, 2017. The performance of the candidates in the NEET-UG 2017 examination is the major criterion for the admission process.

The candidates belonging to the minority communities who wish to seek admission to MBBS/ BDS courses must log in to the official website of CEE Kerala. Go to the candidate portal, and click on ‘Minority Quota’. Once the candidates log in, the details relating to eligibility, documents required and community list will be displayed. Check the details carefully.
Candidates seeking admission under Minority Quota must submit the Community Certificate along with all the documents. The documents must reach the office of CEE Kerala on or before August 5, 2017. The candidates can send the documents by post. CEE Kerala will not include the candidates in the minority category list if he/she fails to submit the prescribed documents and certificates within the stipulated period.

Once the scrutiny process of certificates is over, CEE Kerala will upload a separate merit list of the minority community.
