The Andhra Pradesh State Skills Development Corporation in collaboration with Prakasam Engineering College conducted a mega job fair at college premises on 21 and 22-May-2016. The job fair was open for B.Tech/ B.A/ B.Com / B.Sc / BBA/ MBA / Intermediate/ B.Pharmacy pass outs of 2013-2016 academic years. A total number of 12 companies took part in job fair. The job fair commenced at 9.00 AM and continued till 6.00 PM. Despite of heavy rain a lot of candidates attended the interviews.
The Mega Job Fair was a grand success as a total number of 2,400 candidates attended the interviews. Candidates from Prakasham district attended the interviews. Each company has conducted the interviews according to their procedure. Out of 2,400 candidates around 320 candidates secured jobs in the job fair. The candidates are offered the annual packages ranging from Rs. 1,50,000 to Rs. 3,00,000.
The selected students were given offer letters by the regional director of APSSDC, Mr. Loknadh. He said, “The APSSDC has conducted job fairs at 8 districts of Andhra Pradesh in which 37,000 candidates attended the interviews. Out of them 4,602 candidates secured the jobs”.
