MHT CET 2026 Registration Now Needs Aadhaar and Apaar ID: Check official notice of CET Cell

MHT CET 2026 Registration To Require Aadhaar, APAAR ID: The State Common Entrance Test Cell has issued an official notice making it mandatory for all aspirants to enter their Aadhaar and APAAR ID while filling the MHT CET 2026 application form. This additional condition is intended to add an extra layer of authenticity to the candidate's details and their records, ensuring accurate personal and academic information during online registration.

As per the notifications, the students who are going to appear in the MHT CET 2026 exam must keep their Aadhaar card details and generate their APAAR (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) ID for filling the application from the official portal, i.e., cetcell.mahacet.org . The details in Aadhaar (name, date of birth, mobile number) should be the same as the student record in academics to avoid any discrepancy at the time of registration.

The APAAR ID is a unique, national lifelong identifier that links a student’s academic records from school onwards, and its introduction is part of a wider effort to bring educational tracking under one roof across multiple government agencies. Those who do not have an APAAR ID yet are advised to create one in advance, as it will be needed for the registration process.

Along with Aadhaar and APAAR ID, students might be required to attach additional documents like a valid photo ID, educational certificates, and other relevant documents as mentioned in the MHT CET 2026 notification while applying online for the examination. The official notification states that Aadhaar authentication, APAAR ID generation, and UDID (for PwD applicants) will be included in the list of MHT CET application requirements for the year 2026-27.

With the implementation of the revised norms, candidates should ensure that they meet all eligibility criteria and are requested to get the documents ready in advance so as to avoid any delay/technical snags at the time of online registration. The MHT CET 2026 registration will be available from the third week of January 2026, and the deadline for submission of application forms is possibly the end of March 2026.
