MHT-CET is conducted by DTE Maharashtra every year for admission to various B.Tech programmes offered by colleges in Maharashtra.
Selection Process:
- Primarily, candidates are selected for various programmes on the basis of their class 12 board exam percentage.
 - Candidates who have qualified the exam are allotted seats according to the merit list prepared by DTE based on MHT-CET (B.Tech) scores.
 - Different participating colleges can have different qualifying marks for both class 12 board exams as well as MHT-CET (B.Tech).
 
Counselling Process:
- Counselling will be done through Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by DTE Maharashtra.
 - Candidates will have to fill the online application form for CAP and pay the application fee.
 - Course and stream preferences have to be filled in the Centralized Admission Process according to the marks scored in MHT-CET.
 - DTE allots the seats in different programmes on the basis of the marks achieved by the student and their preference of course and college.
 - Students have to secure their seat by getting the documents verified at the specific institute and paying the admission fees.
