MHT CET Merit List 2023: Important instructions regarding grievances (3/3)
After the approved grievance, the application form of such candidates shall be unlocked to the candidate in his/her login for rectification. The candidate shall ensure that the information shown on the Provisional Merit details of his/her claims related to the Candidate's Name, Qualifying Marks, Category, Gender, Reservation, and Special Reservation made by himself/herself in the applications form are correct.

MHT CET Merit List 2023: How to use previous years' cutoff data for better allotment?
It becomes very important that the option form is filled properly in the first round itself. If no allocation happens in Round 1, the chances of an allocation in Round 2 reduces. Hence, in addition to listing only your preferred colleges, it is important to add colleges available at your merit range as well. To find out these colleges, a reference is to be taken from the institute cutoff of the previous year.

MHT CET Merit List 2023: Ranks allotted on rank card
For each candidate, CET Cell will publish the following ranks through MHT CET Rank Card 2023:
- State General Merit Rank
- Home University General Merit Rank
- State Category Merit Rank (if applicable)
- Home University Category Merit Rank (if applicable)
- TFWS Merit Rank (if applicable)
- All India Merit Rank (based on JEE Main 2023 score) (if applicable)

MHT CET Merit List 2023: How to raise grievances?
Until last year, the candidates had to visit the Facilitation Centre, now termed as Scrutiny Centre (SC), to register their grievances. However, from this year, the link to raise grievances will be provided within the candidate login.
- Once the grievances link is accessed, the application form the candidate will be reverted back to his/her login.
- The proof documents shall then be uploaded to substantiate the claim for any correction or concession.
- The status of the raised grievances (acceptance/rejection) will be displayed through the candidate login.
- Also, those who opt for physical scrutiny shall visit their nearest SC to resolve their grievances.

MHT CET Merit List 2023: Provisional vs Final
MHT CET provisional merit list is subject to change, which means that candidates can object to it if there is any error in their ranking, such as an incorrect mention of their CET, JEE, HSC marks, or any other discrepancies in any other details. On the other hand, the final merit list will be generated after authenticating all such grievances, thus no objections will be considered. Seat allocations for all rounds will be based solely on the final merit list.

MHT CET Merit List 2023: How will ranks be allotted?
For MHT CET Merit List 2023 preparation, the tie-breaking policy is used to decide the ranking of the candidate in cases where the overall percentile score of two or more candidates is the same. In such cases, their order of merit rank will be decided as per the following:
i. Higher marks or scores in Mathematics in CET
ii. Higher marks or scores in Physics in CET
iii. Higher marks or scores in Chemistry in CET
iv. Higher percentage of marks in the board (or equivalent qualifying examination) for Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry taken together
v. Higher percentage of marks in HSC Mathematics
vi. Higher percentage of marks in HSC Physics
vii. Higher percentage of marks in HSC All Subjects (including subjects other than PCM)

MHT CET Merit List 2023: Can I register for counselling now?
For CAP seats, the extended registrations concluded on July 10, 2023 and its subsequent document verification on July 11, 2023. However, the registration link is still active at fe2023.mahacet.org for non-CAP seats and will remain so until August 25, 2023. Any registrations made now will only be considered for non-CAP or management quota allocation.

MHT CET Merit List 2023: Will merit list be released separately for MS and AI candidates?
Maharashtra State (MS) candidates have registered for counselling through their MHT CET score while All-India (AI) candidates have registered through their JEE Main 2023 score. Hence, the rankings for these candidates will be calculated separately. AI candidates' seat allocation will also be conducted separately and their seat reservation is also different.
