MHT CET PCB Admit Card 2024: Passport photo instructions

A passport photo of the candidate will have to be affixed on the printed copy of MHT CET PCB admit card 2024. This passport photo must be same as the one uploaded in the application form. Any variations may lead to disqualification of the candidate from writing the exam.

As per MHT CET exam day guidelines, items such as calculators, formula tables, mobile phones, smartwatches, pieces of paper or sheets, notepads, any other electronic devices, sharp metallic objects, and likewise are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.

As per the instructions provided by the CET Cell, the difficulty level of MHT CET PCB examination will be at par with NEET-UG. As NEET will not be conducted this year by the time MHT CET PCB 2024 exam is over, candidates can expect a difficulty level at part with NEET 2023.

MHT CET PCB Admit Card 2024: Reporting Time

Upon printing the admit card, the candidate will have to mark his/her signature at two places. However, one of them is to be done at home while the other signature must be done in front of the invigilator only. MHT CET PCB admit card with both signatures done in advance will be considered invalid.

The valid government photo ID proof must be brought in original on the exam day. A Xerox copy or a scanned soft copy of the same will not be accepted. The permission to sit for the examination will only be given when original valid government photo ID proof is presented.

MHT CET PCB Admit Card 2024: What if there are discrepancies?

Candidates are advised to carefully cross-check their details mentioned on the admit card. If there is any error in spelling of the names, date of birth, category, photograph, signature, exam group, paper language, and so on, then it must be reported to the CET Cell. Erroneous admit card may cause problems on the exam day.

Until last year, the domain for MHT CET examination was mhtcet<year>.mahacet.org. However, as the CET Cell official website has been modified this year, mhtcet2024.mahacet.org is now only active for admin accounts. The candidates must visit cetcell.mahacet.org only to download their MHT CET PCB 2024 admit card.

As per MHT CET exam day guidelines, candidates must follow the dress code:

• Avoid wearing full sleeves clothes, jewellery, metallic accessories.

• Avoid wearing closed footwear, shoes.

MHT CET PCB Admit Card 2024: Subject-wise exam time

As discussed in the pointers below, the subject-wise exam time for MHT CET PCB 2024 exam are as follows:

Physics + Chemistry:

• Shift 1: 9 AM to 10:30 PM
• Shift 2: 2 PM to 3:30 PM

Biology:

• Shift 1: 10:30 PM to 12 PM
• Shift 2: 3:30 PM to 5 PM

• Students can shuffle between Physics and Chemistry but once Biology paper starts, all questions from Physics + Chemistry will be auto-submitted as they were marked.

• Students will be unable to access Biology questions in the first half of the paper.

• Subject-wise timings will not be separately mentioned on MHT CET PCB admit card 2024. However, it will be mentioned in the instructions provided along with the hall ticket.

MHT CET PCB Admit Card 2024: Subject-wise timings (1/2)

The following are the instructions related to shift-wise timings:

• As MHT CET PCB 2024 is a computer-based examination, separate time slots will be followed for the subjects i.e., although the entire paper is of 180 minutes, the students will not be allowed to shift through all the subjects within this time.

• Instead, the time limit for Physics + Chemistry is capped at 90 minutes (the first half of the paper) while that for Biology is the second half of the paper.

The official registration figure has not yet been confirmed by the CET Cell but as per media reports around 6.5 lakh candidates have registered for MHT CET 2024. Of this, around 2.5 to 3 lakh candidates are to appear for MHT CET PCB 2024 examinaiton.

MHT CET PCB Admit Card 2024: What if exam centre is not allotted from the 4 preferences?

In rare cases when no seat is available at any of the four preferred centre cities of the candidate, then he/she will be allotted the next nearest centre. Even in cases as such, a request for exam centre change will not be considered.

MHT CET PCB Admit Card 2024: Exam date

Due to the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, the CET Cell has postponed MHT CET examination. Earlier, it was to be conducted from April 16 to 23 but it will now be conduted from April 22 to April 30 with gap days on April 25, 26, and 27. The gap days are given as a polling date falls on April 26 and two adjacent days are left so that students can not only go for voting but also to arrange for their travel as required.

When out, MHT CET PCB Admit Card 2024 will be made available at cetcell.mahacet.org or mahacet.org. Do note that any other domains such as cetcell.mahacet.in, cetcell.mahacet.gov.in, mahacet.in, and so on are not the official domains of CET Cell. The admit card link will be accessible through CET Cell portal only while it will be hosted on portal.maharashtracet.org.

The admit card for PCM examination will be released separately, a few days after the release of MHT CET 2024 PCB admit card. It is expected by the start of last week of April.

MHT CET PCB Admit Card 2024: Will it be out in phased manner like JEE?

The National Testing Agency releases the admit cards in a phased manner such that the admit cards for students on, for example, April 22 and 23 will be released first, followed by those on April 24 and 25, and so on. However, that is done due to the huge number of registrations of JEE Main and availablity of advance city slip. The PCB exam has comparatively far fewer registrations and hence, MHT CET PCB admit card 2024 will not be released in a phased manner. Instead, the admit cards for all registered applicants will be published together at the official website of the CET Cell.

MHT CET PCB Admit Card 2024: When to expect?

For the exam commencing from April 22, the students can expect the admit card to be released anytime in the second week of April, i.e., by April 15. The admit card is usually published 8 to 10 days before the start of the exam.
