After a week long assessment, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council has accredited “A” Grade with CGPA 3.25 to the Assam based Tezpur University .
The assessment by NAAC took place from May 16 to 19.
The assessment was done under the Vice Chancellor of ‘Pondicherry’ University and presently the CSIR-Chair Professor, School of Physics, University of Hyderabad, Professor Anil K Bhatnagar.
In the sixteenth meeting of NAAC’s Standing committee, the result of the assessment was declared.
The basis of evaluation of the University were:
- Teaching methodology
- Co-curricular activities
- Research work
- Extension & infrastructure facilities
During the evaluation, a 10 member assessment team visited all departments, centers, cells and examined the activities, facilities and interacted with the faculty, staff and students.
