NEET 2022: Kerala Aspirants Demand NTA for Re-Attempt

The Kerala candidates rolled out their voices for the re-attempt of the NEET 2022 exam to the National Testing Agency (NTA). In the meanwhile, several Twitter posts have been made to reach out to the exam conducting authority. The candidates and the parents lodged a complaint highlighting the fact that the girls were asked to remove their innerwear before entering Kerala's Ayur exam centre. The students returned home crying and distressed. The female candidates were literally forced to take off their lingerie and asked to keep them in the store room, which was not only unexpected for the candidates but also very embarrassing for them. Hence, the students from Kerala want justice against this malpractice and inhuman behaviour for them and made a plea for re-attempting of NEET UG 2022 exam.

In order to support the students, the Rajya Sabha MP #JebiMather wrote to Education Minister #DharmendraPradhan, that NTA starts intervention and can take necessary action. Already the authorities set the exam day guidelines and dress code, which was mentioned on the NEET admit card 2022, and it was not mentioned that the female candidates had to remove their lingerie before entering the exam hall. Then what is the reason for such misbehaviour? Was there any wrong intention? The students of Kerala seek justice and want a re-attempt of one of the most important medical entrance tests in India.

On the contrary, NTA denied the fact and said that they did not get any similar report from the said exam centre. This objection and humiliation were raised against the Mar Thoma Institute of Information Technology, Ayur, Kollam. Again, the complaint against such discomfort behaviour to the female candidates was also denied by the Centre Superintendent and the Independent Observer along with the City Coordinator of Kollam District. The Superintendent has marked the complaint as “Fictitious” and also added that no staff asked the female candidates to take off their innerwear during frisking. Before taking a final decision, NTA will investigate this matter.
