NEET PG 2022 will not be Postponed: Reports

NEET PG 2022 is scheduled to be held on 21st May 2022. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for postgraduation (NEET PG) will not be postponed as demanded by the medical aspirants. This decision was made at a meeting conducted on 30th April, Saturday, by the Union Health Minister, Manukh Mandaviya. 

Simultaneously, NEET PG aspirants and various doctors' associations wrote letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Ram Nath Kovind, and Health Minister Manukh Mandaviya regarding the NEET PG exam mentioning the delay in the counselling process. The NEET PG 2021 counselling process was delayed, therefore, the candidates did not get enough time to prepare for the 2022 exam. 

In another letter by the doctors' association to the President and the Prime Minister, they mentioned that if NEET PG will be conducted on 21st May then they will have no choice but to surrender their prestigious medical degrees to the centre at Rashtrapathi Bhavan. 

Last week on 30th April, the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) wrote a letter to Health Ministry mentioning that the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced stray vacancy round of NEET PG counselling was made "null and void" and that the final results will be released on Tuesday, 2nd May 2022.

NEET PG 2022 Important Dates

As NEET PG won't be postponed, here are all the important dates for the exam-

The admit card of NEET PG 2022 will release soon and candidates who have applied for the exam can visit the official website- nbe.edu.in to download the admit card. The NEET PG exam will be conducted for admission into several postgraduate courses like MD, MS, or postgraduate diploma in all medical colleges across India except NIMHANS, AIIMS, JIPMER, PGIMER, and SCTIMST.
