For many weeks now, it is being seen on all social media platforms that the NEET UG aspirants have been demanding the postponement of the examination, be it through Twitter trends such as #JUSTICEforNEETUG, #NTAdeferNEETUG, and #MODIJIdeferNEETUG or through more direct ways such as writing to NTA and PM of India. The unversed may check the reasons for postponement here: Why NEET UG 2022 Should be Postponed?
In a more recent action, the India Wide Parents Association has written to PM Modi to appeal for a postponement by at least 4 weeks while earlier, over 10,000 aspirants had written to NTA demanding the same. Through a recent statement, NTA has now acknowledged receiving demands for the postponement but the agency is yet to make any announcement regarding the change in the schedule of the examination.
Chances are, NEET UG 2022 will be conducted as scheduled on July 17 and it is our constant advice to the students that they focus on studying instead of leaning heavily towards the postponement fiasco. If the exam stays unpostponed, it will affect the scores of the aspirants and subsequently, their careers.
