Pay the non-refundable application fee of INR 500/- through SBI collect ONLY. To pay the fee, one will have to search SB COLLECT ->EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS -> ODISHA -> DIRECTOR NIT ROURKELA -> APPLICATION FEE PHD and EPTP SELECT PHD SELECT 500/-
Go to the website for the registration of the PhD course at NIT Rourkela, eapplication.nitrkl.ac.in .
Click on ‘New Candidate Registration’ if you have yet to register, or if you have already registered, then you can log in with your login ID & password, and then fill the application form, followed by submitting it.
The sponsored candidates will be required to submit a scanned copy of the sponsorship certificate while submitting the application form.

The institute fellowships will be available to the PhD students of all the departments.
The NIT Rourkela PhD fellowship rate ranges from INR 37,000/- per month for the 1st and 2nd year, and INR 42,000 per month for the 3rd, 4th, and 5th years.
Only candidates below 32 years of age will be available for a PhD fellowship. However, this restriction will not be imposed on those who have been awarded fellowships by external agencies or sponsored projects.
If the student with a fellowship from an institute or project fellowship leaves the institute mid-session, then the entire amount will have to be returned by the student before leaving the institute.
