Considering the rising enrolment of students, CHSE (Council for Higher Secondary Education) Odisha has decided to increase the number of examination centres for Class 12 board exams.
CHSE’s Deputy Controller of Examination, Mr. Prabodh Kumar Panda revealed that the number of exam centres will be increased from 1,007 to 1,110. The council also took the decision to set up a sub-centre at ITER, located in Bhubaneswar. With this new sub-centre, there will be four sub-centres located in Saraswati Gyan Vidya Mandir, KIIT, KISS and ITER. Along with the sub-centres, the board will also set up exam hubs in 202 locations across the state, Mr. Prabodh added.

The Plus II exams in Odisha will begin from March 6, 2018, and will continue until March 29, 2018. The exams will take place in the morning session from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
CHSE introduced new syllabus for Class 12 from the academic session 2017-18. The practical exams, which are scheduled to begin from January 25, 2018, will have the new pattern. The new syllabus is prepared in the line with the pattern of CBSE. The Plus II in Odisha will also have question papers based on the new syllabus. However, students with backlogs last year can take the exam in the old pattern.

Almost all the state boards have announced the schedule for Class 12 board exams. CBSE is yet to release the schedule for Class 10 and Class 12 board exams 2018. According to sources, CBSE will release the timetable this week.
