The District Legal Services Authority of Raipur is organizing Drug Awareness Campaigns in various schools and colleges of Raipur. The camps are being conducted in order to make youth aware of drug abuse. The camps are being organized under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. The advocates will be holding lectures in various colleges and schools about drug abuse. They will also interact with the students. The camp will continue till 15-July-2016.

The first camp was held on 11-July-2016 at Government Sanskriti Senior Secondary School and Advocate Mr Piyush and his colleague Mr Ashok interacted with the students.

The students will also be educated on Fundamental Duties and give them an idea about various medical facilities and steps that have to be taken in case of drug abuses. The basic idea of this program is to make students understand about drug menace.

Initially, all the advocates were provided training on this theme last week. The advocates will hold camps in the next two days in some of the government schools of Raipur. This initiative received a great response from the teachers and others.
