The result for State Bank of India (SBI) preliminary examination were declared on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. The exam is conducted for hiring probationary officers (PO) in the various state-run branches of SBI. The online preliminary exam was conducted on April 29, 30 and May 6 and 7, 2017.
The results have been declared on the official site of the SBI exam portal. If you wish to check your SBI PO Prelim 2017 result, you will have to fill in your roll number and registration number/ date of birth. The result will be displayed on the screen once you have clicked on the ‘submit’ button.
Candidates who have qualified the prelims will be eligible to write the SBI PO main exam 2017. The main exam will also comprise multiple choice question of up to 200 marks along with a 50 mark descriptive test.

In order to clear the Main exam, candidates will have to qualify the sectional cut-off for every section. The duration of the descriptive section is 30 minutes and it comprises English language test based on letter writing and essay.
Only those candidates who clear the other sections and have got relatively high marks in the objective sections will get credit for their descriptive test. Marks will not be deducted for questions left blank.

Candidates who clear the main exam will be invited for personal interviews and group exercises. The SBI PO Main exam will be conducted in online mode on June 4, 2017. The result for the same will be declared on June 19, 2017.
