- Orange alert has been issued by the IMD for various districts of West Bengal, including Kolkata, Howrah, South 24 Pargana, Bankura, Jhargram, etc.
- Extreme downpours have claimed six lives across the city and suburbs.
- A low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal is expected to bring more heavy showers.

- IMD has issued a yellow alert for Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, and other parts of the Konkan belt.
