Skills Development Center at Vijayawada
The Andhra Pradesh Engineering Colleges Association took a step forward and established Skills Development center at Kannur, Vijayawada. Chairman of the AP Engineering Colleges Association, Mr. M Srinivasa Rao conducted a press meet on 3-June-2016 and gave the details.
He said, “Hereafter the AP Engineering Colleges Association would work from Vijayawada. The skills development center is being established to success by the “Kaushal Bharath Mission, an initiative of honorable Prime Minister of India. This is also being done as a part of social responsibility. The engineering colleges of Krishna District stood in the first place in placements and pass percentage among all the engineering colleges of Andhra Pradesh. Out of 38 colleges in district, 8 colleges secured accreditation by NAAC”.
The skills development center will set up at Kannur, Vijayawada. It is located near VR Siddhartha Engineering College. This skills development center is being established for the development of poor and middle class students. Here the students will be trained in various skills in order to secure jobs. Placement assistance will be provided to the students. Training will be given by experts and more than 100 computers will be available in the center to make the students proficient in Computer skills.
This is really a boon for the students of Krishna District as they can develop their skills and get placement assistance. Placement percentage of the district will increase and the students will be proficient in various skills.
