The final year mechanical engineering students of Aditya College of Engineering designed a sports car as a part of their project. Impressed by the work of the students the college management conducted a press meet to explain about sports car.
HOD of Mechanical Engineering Department, Dr. Subbarao said, “Narasimha Nayk, Khallel and Sri Ram, final year students designed this sports car with the support of faculty member Mr. Manoj Krishna. Students took Nano car as the role model which is being sold in the market at very low cost. The students planned to design a sports car which costs same as Nano. An amount of Rs. 1, 20,000 has been spent for designing the car. The car gives 30 to 35 kms mileage. The car gives mileage more than Nano. The car has excellent pick up and flexibility. The department will try to secure the patent rights for the car”.
College director, M. Srinivas Reddy and College Principal, Mr. Ramesh visited the department and had a glance of the car. The college management congratulated the students for their sincere efforts. The college management assured that the project will be taken to leading car manufacturing companies. The car was put for display in the college premises and lot of students had a glance of the car.
