Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) conducts Tamil Nadu TET every year for candidates who aspire to become teachers of classes I – VIII in the state of Tamil Nadu.
Those who wish to teach classes I to V should appear for Paper 1 of the TN TET, and those who wish to teach higher classes should appear for Paper 2 of the TN TET. Aspirants also have the option of appearing for both the exams if they wish to teach any of these classes.
In order to appear for TN TET, candidate must meet the minimum eligible criteria as prescribed by the board. After clearing the exam, candidates with the required qualifications will become eligible to seek employment in schools across the state.
The detailed information about the selection process is given below:
- The candidates will be declared qualified if they secure 60% or above marks in the written examination.
- Qualified candidates will be invited for document verification, and final placement will be done basis the merit list prepared by the selection committee.
Documents Required for TN TET:
- Candidates should submit their Age/Qualification/Category certificates at the time of interview .
- Caste certificate if the candidate belongs from the reserved category (SC/ST/OBC).
- Candidates seeking age relaxation are required to submit copies of necessary certificate(s) at the time of interview.
- Candidates should carry a photocopy of their valid photo identity such as Aadhar card /PAN card/ Passport/ Driving Licence/ Voter’s Card/ Bank Passbook with photograph.
