Technical glitches in the entrance exam of Sri Venkateswara University in Tirupathi (Andhra Pradesh) have created a lot of trouble for students as they may lose a chance to get scholarships in the 2018-19 academic session.
Technical glitches in the exams of Sri Venkateshwara University in Tirupathi Andhra Pradesh have left students disheartened. Issues regarding the technical irregularities were being reported for the last few months but the varsity continued to ignore complaints. As a result, hundreds of students from affiliated colleges of SVU Tirupathi lost their chance to get scholarships in the academic year of 2019-20. Students blamed the Varsity Exam wing for their losses.
Earlier on October 2019, the SVU university exam wing announced 17th October 2019 to be the last day for the submission of examination fee for all the semsters. Later, the date was postponed to 21st October 2019. But the collection of examination fee continued till 28th October 2019.
The late collection of examination fees further resulted in the delay of final examinations. While questioned, SVU's examination wing blamed the same on software problems. Most of the students didn’t get a confirmation of payment of the examination fee. Also, many students eligible for scholarships and other reimbursements were not provided with any funds due to a lack of mapping in the Electronic Data Processing Cell (EDP).

The issues in the EDP cell brought heavy loss to the students of Chittoor districts as they failed to qualify for the 2019 scholarships.
G Sundaravalli, Rector of Sri Venketashewara University commented on the matter saying that the varsity examination wing is currently facing various problems in managing the student’s data. Multiple software issues are slowing down the work of the wing. He also assured that the reimbursements and scholarship issue will be sorted by officials soon.

The students studying under affiliated colleges of SVU can only wait for the varsity to fix these software issues.
