Telugu States Urge US Counsel General to Publish List of Fake US Universities

The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has urged the US Counsel General in Hyderabad to publish the list of the US universities that have been flagged as fraudulent and fake by the US government. AICC Spokesperson, Dr. Sravan Dasoju requested the US Counsel General (Hyderabad), Mr. Katherine B Hadda to release the list of fake US universities so that students in the state do not go for admission in these varsities.

Dr. Sravan Dasoju indicated that students must avoid seeking admission in fake US universities and jeopardize their future. The recent case of ‘Farmington University’ is the best example that explained the consequences of seeking admission in a fake university, he added.

AICC spokesperson also called for immediate release of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana students who were detained by the US ICE (United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement) on the grounds of taking admission at the university. He pointed out that hundreds of Telugu students were lured to join Farmington University.

Andhra Pradesh and Telangana students who sought admission to Farmington University were promised to start working as soon as they join the college without attending the regular classes. The agents also duped the students by ensuring that they are not required to engage in off-campus practical work. Students who joined in this university do not know that they were cheated. Therefore, immediate release of students must be followed, he urged the US Counsel General.
