TG ECET Application Form 2026 to Open on February 9: No changes in syllabus and patternTG ECET Application Form 2026: The application process for the TG ECET 2026 is scheduled to begin from February 9, 2026 , carrying significant news for diploma holders and B.Sc (Mathematics) degree holders aspiring to join engineering and pharmacy courses under the lateral entry scheme in Telangana state. Along with this announcement of the application form, it is officially confirmed that there will be no change in the Syllabus/Exam Pattern, keeping the students stress-free with their preparations. The Examination scheduled to be held on May 15, 2026 , at various centres across the state.
TG ECET 2026 Exam Pattern
The mode of examination for the exam will be computer-based, and the authority responsible for administering the TG ECET 2026 test will be the Telangana State Council of Higher Education. The exam pattern will be similar to previous years.
- Mode of Exam: Online (CBT)
- Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Total Questions: 200
- Total Marks: 200 marks
- Duration: 3 hours (180 minutes)
- Marking Scheme: +1 mark for every correct answer
- No negative marking
Note: The paper will be set based on the candidate’s qualifying discipline, namely, Engineering Diploma/B.Sc. Mathematics.
TG ECET 2026 Syllabus and Subject-wise Question Papers
For Engineering Diploma Candidates
- The syllabus will comprise Diploma levels and subjects related to the chosen branch of engineering. The paper will comprise:
- Branch Specific Engineering Subjects – 200 questions
- (For example: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, etc., depending upon the discipline.)
For B.Sc. (Mathematics) Candidates
The question paper will be divided as follows:
- Mathematics – 100 questions
- Analytical Ability – 50 questions
- Communicative English – 50 questions
Key Topics Include:
- Mathematics: Calculus, Coordinate Geometry, Probability, Trigonometry
- Analytical Ability: Data Interpretation, Reasoning, Numbers
- Communicative English: Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension, Sentence Correction
As their is no changes in the syllabus and pattern, the candidates are advised to revise the core concepts, do as many previous years' question papers as possible, and improve their time management skills. Subject-wise weightage and difficulty levels are also expected to remain consistent with earlier TG ECET exams.
