The Assam Tribune EduFair concluded successfully in the ‘Knowledge City’ Jorhat on Saturday, May 21 witnessing a large number of students along with their parents. The EduFair was held at Tarajan Sanmilani Hall in the city. This was the first time ever, the career and educational fair was held in Jorhat keeping in lieu of the need for the betterment and upliftment of the student community.
Students got an opportunity to receive first-hand information and free counselling facilities of many reputed institutes of the country under a single roof.
The Edufair was organised by The Assam Ttribune Group of Publications and Oil India Limited in association with the Royal Group of Institutions and Impact Media wherein 20 reputed educational institutions provided guidance to students on various professional courses.
Students asked questions to the counsellors on the future prospects of professional courses like medical, engineering, management, physiotherapy etc. They also enquired about the entrance examinations and fee structures of different institutions. Many asked about the employment opportunities and placement facilities after completion of these courses.
Representatives from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Chandigarh University, PEWS Group of Institutions, BFIT Group of Institutions took part in the event.
