In MPUAT (Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture & Technology) 3 day training on processing and value addition for self-employment started on Friday, 27th May, was concluded on Sunday, 29th May. The honorable chief guest of the event on was MPUAT’s vice chancellor Mr. Uma Shanka Sharma. He stated that, when processing of agricultural products was completed, it is necessary farmers get direct benefit after the price increase.
Program coordinator research engineer Dr. V. D. Mudgan told that, 47 male and female from tribal cast was trained during this session of training, and the camp organized under All India Coordinated Project. In these 47 people, people were from Kavel, Daya & Jhadol Gram Panchayat’s. They were trained in value addition for crops like Ginger, Turmeric; Gram (chana), Garlic, Lemon, Tomatoes etc.
Dr. V. P. Mudgal highlighted on the objectives of the event. He said that our objective for this event were to increase the awareness of value addition about non-seasonal crops, processing of agricultural product, and trained some tribal people in these type of farming. In nearby future, we will organize more such events for them. Dr. B. P. Nandwana, Dean of CTAE (College of Agriculture & Engineering), Mr. Suhas Manohar & Prof. Deepak Sharma informed about value addition of crops.
