To mark the occasion of 153rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on January 12 UGC has asked colleges to organize lectures, debates and essay-writing competition among other befitting events.
In a latest letter to institutions, UGC vice-chairman Ved Prakash, has said Vivekananda contributed towards the concept of nationalism in India, "Swamiji left an indelible mark in both national and international arena through his teachings which have been a great inspiration for the youth of the country."
