The University of Agricultural Science Bengaluru will digitise the evaluation of exam papers from this academic year. Further, the digital versions of graduation certificates will be issued to the students from next year.
H Shivanna, UAS Vice-Chancellor said that the main agenda behind digitising the exam process is to reduce human interface. The digitisation will be adopted in the examinations from this year. Whereas the digitised graduation certificate will be introduced next year.

To digitise the examination process, a software Under Graduate Academic Management has been developed and a Digital Depository National Academic Depository has been formed for the issuance of graduation certificates.
UAS Bengaluru is ahead of various other agricultural universities in India. It was ranked 57th by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research or the ICAR. It alslo stands number one among the agricultural universities in southern India.

The Vice-Chancellor also mentioned that for the convocation ceremony, Governor Vajuvhai Vala and Manju Sharma, former secretary to the department of biotechnology, the government of India will be the chief guest. At the convocation ceremony, 967 students will be conferred with different degrees. Out of these, 631 are bachelors’ degree and 272 are postgraduate/ master’s degree and 64 doctoral/ research degrees. Around 118 students will be given gold medals and 18 donor gold medal certificate will be issued to 136 students.
UAS is also celebrating its 50th Foundation Day of its farmer training institute on 10th February 2018.
