Students from the VTU have been asked to score a CGPA of 5.00 in their semester exams so as to receive their degree. The varsity administration has stated that for a brighter future for the students of the University, such a decision needs to be taken.

VTU Degree Eligibility

In the newest addition to the rules and regulations of the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), students from the varsity will now have to ensure that they get a certain CGPA so as to receive their degrees. This decision has put the batch of 2015 students in a fix, those who have scored a CGPA of less than 5.00.

On the matter, the VTU students have stated that the decision is a ruthless one. However, the University has stated that the decision has been made keeping in mind the future of the University. The varsity administration has announced they will allow the students who have not been able to cross the 5.00 CGPA mark to improve upon their scores. Those who are unable to reach the limit will be allowed to reappear for the semester exams in full or a specific part of the exam.
