MAH B.Ed CET is conducted for students wanting admission in a 2-year B.Ed course and 4-year integrated BA B.Ed/ B.Sc B.Ed course. Candidates can fill out the application form till 7th July 2022 by visiting the official website. 

Who is eligible to apply for MAH B.Ed CET 2022?

MAH B.Ed CET 2022 application form was released by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell on 24th March 2022. Candidates can fill out the application form till 7th July 2022 by visiting the official website- cetcell.mahacet.org. MAH B.Ed CET hall ticket will be available from 29th July onwards and the exam will be conducted on 21st and 22nd August 2022. 

Candidates wanting to pursue teaching as a career need to have a 4-year integrated B.Ed degree or 2-year regular B.Ed degree. The MAH B.Ed CET is conducted to provide admission to students in various B.Ed colleges across the state of Maharashtra. 

Who is Eligible to Apply for MAH B.Ed CET 2022?

MAH B.Ed CET is conducted for students wanting admission in a 2-year B.Ed course and 4-year integrated BA B.Ed/ B.Sc B.Ed course. Here, we'll discuss the eligibility criteria for MAH B.Ed CET 2022 that have been set by the conducting authority. 

Nationality

  • He/she must be a citizen of India.
  • Candidates only from Maharasthra will be categorized as a general and reserved category. Any students applying from outside Maharashtra will be considered as an open category irrespective of his/her category.
  • If an applicant is a Person of Indian Origin (PIO), Non-Resident Indian (NRI), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries, or Foreign National Students, they must fulfill the eligibility clause. If they fulfill the eligibility clause, they won't be required to appear for the MAH B.Ed CET 2022. 

Educational Qualification

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree from any of the streams with a minimum of 50% marks in total (45% marks for reserved category) 
  • Candidates having a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Law/ Computer Science/ Engineering and Technology, etc. must have scored a minimum of 55% in aggregate. (50% for reserved category)
  • The candidate appearing for the final exam of his/her degree program is also eligible to apply.

Age Criteria

  • The age will be considered as of July 1, 2022. There's no upper age limit for candidates applying for MAH B.Ed CET 2022.

B.Ed Specialization

  • Candidates wanting to pursue a B.Ed specialization course must have an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in the same field. For example- Candidates wanting their teaching subject to be History have a degree of BA in History 

English Language Content Test (ELCT)

  • Candidates wanting to study in English medium college have to select the ELCT option while filling up the MAH B.Ed CET application form. They also need to sit for the ELCT exam conducted by the authority.

This state-level entrance exam will be conducted in online mode. A total of 100 questions will be asked in 3 sections. Each question will carry 1 mark and there's no negative marking for any wrong answer. Candidates will get a total of 90 minutes or 1.5 marks to answer all the questions. MAH B.Ed ELCT question paper will consist of 50 questions and 60 minutes or 1 hour will be provided to answer all the questions.
