One of the most popular b-school in India - Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur has recently concluded its summer internship placement process. The highest stipend offered to a XLRI student was as high as Rs. 5 lakhs. Moreover, the entire XLRI Jamshedpur Summer Placement 2017 process was wrapped up in just two days, as per IANS.
More than 90 companies came forward to participate in the XLRI Jamshedpur Summer Placement process and 100 percent students were offered internship opportunities. Companies such as Microsoft, PwC (PricewaterCoopers), Coca-cola etc. actively participated in the summer placement process at XLRI.

XLRI Summer Placement 2017 Highlights:
- All 364 students of the current batch at XLRI were successfully placed for summer internships.
- Average and medium stipend saw an increase of about more than 20%.
- The highest stipend offered at XLRI was Rs. 5 lakh.
- Roles in consulting, operations, human resources, sales and marketing, finance, business development, industrial relations etc. were offered to students.
- Big companies such as PwC, Mondelez, Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), Reckitt Benckiser, ABG, Uber, Microsoft, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Goldman Sachs etc. selected students for internships.
- The top recruiting sector at XLRI was food and beverage (F&B) with 27%. It was followed by sales and marketing (25%) and finance sector (20%).
- Other sectors were able to hire students as well. Statistics for these were about 17% in Operations, 17% in General Consulting domain and 11% in Consulting roles.
