AICTE Starts Online Application for National Doctoral Fellowships

All India Council for Technical Education i.e. AICTE has announced National Doctoral Fellowships for interested candidates. The online registration for the programme has already begun. Given below are the details of the eligibility and research areas for which the National Doctoral Fellowships are open.
Fellowship Research Areas:
The research areas will include the following:
- Robotics and Mechatronics
- Electric and Hybrid Mobility Smart Cities
- Nuclear Engineering and Allied Technologies
- Housing and Transportation
- Drug Modelling and Development
- Nano Science and Technology
- Big Data, Machine Learning and AI
- Water Purification Conservation and Management
- Smart Technologies for Agriculture and Food Industry
Fellowship Eligibility:
- The candidate must have secured a cumulative grade point average of 7.5 or equivalent in B.E./ B.Pharm/ B.Tech/ M.E./ M.Tech/ M. Pharm.
- The CGPA requirement for reserved category candidates is 7.0.
- In addition to this, interested candidates should have qualified GATE/ GPAT score in the past five years.
- The candidate should not be less than 30 years of age as on 31st August 2018. The age relaxation of five years would be applicable to reserved category (SC/ST, PwD) candidates.

The number of seats available for the National Doctoral Fellowship programme is limited to 150 per year. Selected candidates will also be provided with a stipend of Rs. 28,000 along with other allowances.
