The Registrar has requested all the BSc Nursing aspirants of Andhra Pradesh to apply for NEET UG exam. Earlier, the admission process for B.Sc Nursing course in Andhra Pradesh was overseen by the state, which conducted entrance tests or merit-based systems. Details about the same can be found below:
AP EAPCET (EAMCET): For several years, students were selected based on their ranks in the Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test.
APNCET: More recently, the state had introduced the APNCET (Andhra Pradesh Nursing Common Entrance Test) specifically for nursing aspirants.
Earlier Criteria: Before the implementation of these entrance exams, admissions were often based on the merit of Intermediate (10+2) marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
While NEET-UG is traditionally known as a gateway for MBBS Course, BAMS Course, BDS Course, BHMS Course, B.Sc Nursing, B.V.Sc & AH, BNYS Course, BUMS, and other AYUSH courses across the nation, appearing for it for admission in B.Sc Nursing in AP was optional.
