Apply to Govt. Aided Chandigarh Colleges through Online Portal

B.L. Sharma, Education Secretary of Chandigarh region has launched the online prospectus for centralized admissions in thegovernment aided collegesin Chandigarh for the 2018-19 academic session.

The online portal has become functional from 30th May through the official website of the Chandigarh Higher Education Department. This initiative of the administration department will cut the traveling time of the students and their parents as they will not be required to visit each college individually.

Thonline prospectuswill also include the information about theadmission process, job-oriented elective courses and honors courses. Apart from this, the merit list of the selected students will be uploaded on the portal as well.

TheChandigarh Administrationhas started the online portal to conduct the admission process online rather than conducting them offline. The online admission process is applicable for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in government colleges. To make the process more convenient for the aspirants, the administration will also make thecounseling processcentralized for certain UG and PG courses.

Aspirants seeking admissions in government andgovernment-aided collegesin Chandigarh have to apply online only as no offline application submission mode is available. However, the candidate will be required to submit the hard copy of the online application form in the respective college on the day of counseling. In case, the candidate wishes to apply to more than one college/ course, they will be required to fill a separate online application form.
