Punjab Board exams result for class 12 have been released on the official website of the board. The results were announced on April 23, 2018. The board recorded 68.42% pass percentage for regular students, whereas, 40.07% for students of Open School. The overall pass percentage of Punjab board class 12 students is 65.97%.
According to reports, there has been a dip in the passing percentage of maths despite awarding grace marks up to 5 to students who were failing on margin. The passing Percentage in Mathematics dropped from 86.74% in 2017 to 75.75% in 2018. Punjab Board Class 12 results had poor passing percentage for various other subjects.

Reports indicate that girls have outperformed in the Punjab School Education Board class 12 exams 2018. The pass percentage of PSEB girls is 78.25%, while, pass percentage for boys is 60.46%. 1,98,199 students of Punjab Board have passed out of a total of 3,00,417. The announcement regarding the result was made in March 2018 by the Minister at a Press Conclave in Punjab Bhawan. The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) had also announced that it would declare the class 10 and class 12 board exam result 15 days after the exam have been concluded.

- Enter your name, roll number and press enter
- Your result will appear on the screen
- Download and save it for future use
The board had decided to declare the results as early as possible so that class 12 students don’t have to wait for the result in order to apply for higher education courses. PSEB will release the board exam results through the result hosting website and students will be able to check their results online.

Chief Minister Amarinder Singh also took the poor performance of class 10 students into account and asked the board to prepare a blueprint in order to raise the education standards in the state. He also asked the finance department of the state to provide all funds necessary to elevate quality of education.
