Aryabhatta College, which is affiliated to the University of Delhi is going to hold a referendum (vote) on September 1, 2017, to make a decision on its affiliation with Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU). The authorities of the college are of the view that the referendum was necessary, as Ram Lal Anand (evening) College turned into the morning session and was re-christened to Aryabhatta College during the academic session 2015-16. The college has already issued a notice regarding the referendum which has been scheduled for September 1, 2017, between 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Mr. Manoj Sinha, Principal of Aryabhatta College revealed that the current strength of the college is 2,200 and at least 50% students must vote for a valid referendum. Similarly, out of total votes polled, 75% must vote on one side for a decision to be final.
