Bihar TET Exam Cancelled with Immediate Effect, State to Accept CTET scores

The Bihar Government has cancelled the Bihar TET exam 2022 with immediate effect. The scores and ranks from the CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) 2022 will be considered instead when it will come to job vacancies in secondary government schools across the country, including the state of Bihar. The Bihar Primary Education Director has provided an official statement that gives out information regarding the decision taken by the Bihar government. It is not a rash decision and has been taken bearing in mind that several candidates had signed up for the STET (State Teachers Eligibility Test) examinations to be held in Bihar. 

The STET examination has been cancelled because the CTET (Central Teachers Eligibility Test) Exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) under the command and the instructions of the Central government and the Union Education Ministry is being held fairly frequently and in almost all the districts of Bihar. Almost all candidates who would like to get jobs in the government schools as teachers appear for the CTET which allows them to get government jobs in centrally operated as well as state-operated schools. Therefore, it is a waste to conduct the Bihar STET examination when the examination, its pattern as well its usage is the same as CTET which is now accessible to all aspirants across Bihar. This money can be utilised for other pressing matters, including education. 

The official letter from the Bihar Primary Education Director also stated that the decision will be confirmed after careful evaluation of the need-based Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).
