British Council to Offer Computerised IELTS Exam in India
For the first time, British Council will conduct online IELTS exam in the country on the 9th February. There will be no change in the IELTS exam pattern, exam fee and duration in the online and offline mode of the IELTS exam.
The British Council will conduct the first IELTS online test in New Delhi on 9th February 2019. The IELTS computer-delivered solution is tested and secure. Students, from now on, will have an option to choose between IELTS online test or IELTS offline test as per their suitability.
Test takers will have an option to pick the mode of the exam and will not just be restricted to go with the offline mode. Apart from this, aspirants will also get the results faster. Usually, an IELTS result takes around five to seven calendar days once the test has been completed.

However, there will be no change in the IELTS exam pattern, exam fee and duration in the online and offline mode. The speaking part of the test will remain the same which is in a face-to-face format with a certified IELTS examiner.
