CAT Notification 2016 to be Announced by IIM Bangalore on July 31
IIM Bangalore will release the notification of CAT 2016 on the last Sunday of this month i.e. July 31, 2016.
Students who have been in a fix regarding the notification of CAT 2016 can sigh with relief as IIM Bangalore will release the notification of CAT 2016 on the last Sunday of this month i.e. July 31, 2016. A lot of fake notifications have been surfacing regarding the exam on the internet, therefore it is essential that students wait for the official announcement.
Head of Communications at IIM Bangalore, Kavitha Kumar cleared speculations regarding the exam notification and said that the notification will not be released on the date mentioned as officials have been working on finalizing the draft. For this reason, the notification was not released on July 24. She also informed that the students must look for the same around July 31.

As per the information provided by the Communications Head, it is more likely that the application process will begin from August first week and the test will be held in the second week of November 2016. The exam authority has not yet made any statement about the test but there have been rumors of a change in exam pattern.
One of the IIMs conducts CAT each year basis which admissions to management post graduate programme are done at IIMs and other top B-schools. IIM Ahmedabad was the CAT conducting body in 2015. A total of 20 IIMs offering around 3750 seats and 100 other B-schools will take admissions based on the CAT 2016 scores.
