CBSE 12th Results 2017 Likely to be Declared by Tomorrow

After a lot of conflict regarding CBSE's marks moderation policy, according to an official, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will not be approaching the Supreme Court against the Delhi High Court verdict and is likely to continue to implement moderation policy as directed by High Court. However, there would be no artificial inflation of marks. The board will probably stick to its 5 point moderation policy.

This comes as a relief to all Class 12 students awaiting their results. Also as per the sources, CBSE is likely to announce the result latest by tomorrow evening.

The decision came after government lawyers had advised CBSE not to challenge High Court instructions and explained that the policy could be later implemented from the next academic year as the current timing is critical for the students as they need to apply for college admissions.

Prakash Javadekar, the Union Education Minister, yesterday assured 11 lakh candidates who appeared for the senior secondary qualifying exam, that there will be no delay in the results announcement. Thus, the Human Resource Development (HRD) ministry has directed the board to declare the results on time.

Previously, there were reports of CBSE board planning to approach the top Court with a special leave petition (SLP) against the High Court's verdict on moderation policy. The decision of CBSE for scrapping moderation policy and directing Delhi University to provide relaxation to the CBSE students along with the delay in results announcement created havoc among the students.

Now with the CBSE board not moving to the Supreme Court, students and their parents may expect their results anytime soon.
