Central Board of Secondary Education to Compensate for Class X English Paper. As per the latest decision of CBSE, two marks will be compensated to Class 10 students for typing errors in English question paper.

An official of CBSE stated that CBSE class X English board exam caused a lot of chaos and confusion among the students of the country due to which CBSE will compensate students. The exam took place on 12 March 2018 and was criticized both by students and teachers across the nation which left students confused over a mistake in the passage section of the question paper.

As per the reports, it was a typo error in the question paper which created a lot of confusion among students during the Class X examination. However, CBSE had decided not to put any student on disadvantage and the error will be kept in mind at the time of evaluation of answer sheets.

Earlier, there were various speculations that were making rounds on WhatsApp, according to which CBSE was to give away 2 marks for the typo in the examination. But, the board has denied the same and said that the number marks would be decided later once they are ready for the evaluation. Finally, the CBSE has come up with a clarity in this regard.

Even though the question paper was easy as compared to others. It made students anxious due to the typo. They were tensed about losing their marks and many students in Bhopal started an online petition regarding the same. Students were asked to look for synonyms of obstruction, endurance, and motivation in paragraphs, two four and five of the passage section of the English paper. Whereas the answers were in paras three and six.
