Centenary Celebrations of Osmania University will be a Grand Gala, Says Education Minister
The celebrations at Osmania University will showcase the culture and history of Telangana and will be organised in a grand manner.
Kadiyam Srihari, Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana who also holds education portfolio revealed that the centenary celebrations of Osmania University are going to commence from April 26, 2017. The celebrations will showcase the culture and history of Telangana and will be organised in a grand manner.
He further added the inauguration ceremony of centenary celebrations would take for three days and the celebrations are being organised by both state government and Osmania University. Srihari explained that the Chief Minister of Telangana issued directions to organised the celebrations in a grand manner as the Telangana state and Osmania University had an old relation.

He also said that apart from inaugural ceremony of centenary celebrations, yearlong celebrations will be organised which will be remembered forever. Sanskritika Saradhis and Telangana Cultural Department will organise the first three days of celebrations. A total number of 30 committees have been formed, and they are assigned with various responsibilities to ensure that nothing goes wrong in the celebrations.

Prakash Javadekar, HRD Minister, will attend All India VCs conference and International Science Fair which will be conducted as a part of central celebrations on April 27 & 28, 2017. On this occasion, a book which consists of 100 best publications of Osmania University will be launched, and another book about the luminaries of the varsity will be launched. During the first day of inaugural session on April 26, 2017, a video will be produced about the history of Osmania University.
