Convocation Ceremony of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya to be Held on December 1
A total number of 136 medals will be awarded to the undergraduate, postgraduate, M.Phil & PhD students of the 2012-13 and 2013-14 batch. Out of them, 100 students are girls.
The convocation ceremony of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya will take place on December 1, 2016. The authorities of the varsity have officially confirmed the date. Currently, the preparations for holding the convocation have begun. The ceremony will take place at the auditorium of the college. The degrees will be awarded to the students for the 2012-13 and 2013-14 batch. On this occasion, the meritorious students will be awarded gold and silver medals.

One of the officials of the varsity explained that the degrees would be awarded to undergraduate, postgraduate, M.Phil & PhD students. A total number of 136 medals will be awarded to the students of academic session 2012-13. Out of them, 100 students are girls.
A total number of 120 gold and 16 silver medals would be awarded to the meritorious students during the convocation ceremony. The varsity is conducting convocation ceremony after a gap of two years. Around 99 students would be awarded gold medals and nine students will be presented silver medals.

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya was established in the year 1964 which is restricted only to the Indore division. The motto of the varsity is “Dhiyo Yonah Prachodayat.” Currently, the university has 27 teaching departments. DAVV offers various undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes in 16 faculties. The university has a separate Department of Physical Education and Sports. The varsity also provides distance learning programmes through its Directorate of Distance Education division.
A total number of 270 colleges are affiliated to DAVV in addition to 33 University teaching departments and centres.
